AMY MCCLEARY

Amy McCleary's coaching and playing careers have and continue to span the globe. She recently coached England in this year's 2009 FIL World Cup held in Prague Czech Republic. Prior to this year's Cup McCleary was the Head Coach of the German National Team and in 2006 received the IFWLA Recognition Award.

McCleary worked at James Madison University between 2003-2005, helping the Dukes win the Colonial Athletic Conference and reach the NCAA Tournament Elite 8 in 2004. Also in 2004, McCleary coached a JMU Tewaaraton Trophy Finalist, CAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player, and WomensLacrosse.com All-Rookie Team member. McCleary also coached two JMU players who made the 2005 and 2009 Canadian World Cup Team and three JMU players who earned spots on the U.S. Developmental and Elite Teams. 

    She also coached at the international level for the German National Team. She helped the German squad to nine European Cups and two World Cups. In 2000, the German team advanced to the World Cup for the first time in history. McCleary has conducted lacrosse camps and clinics in Canada, England, Germany, Japan, and Scotland since 1998. In addition to her commitment on the field, she also served as a delegate at the IFWLA (International Federation of Women's Lacrosse Association) annual meetings.

McCleary coached as an assistant coach at the University of Delaware from 1996-2000. With McCleary on staff, Delaware won three consecutive America East Conference Championships (1997, 1998, 1999) and in 2000, the Blue Hens earned their first NCAA Tournament berth since 1984. The Baltimore, Maryland native was a two-time All-American midfielder. McCleary also competed on the international scene when she participated in the International Friendship Games in Tokyo, Japan. McCleary's list of accomplishments and accolades is a direct result of her level of committment and her love for the sport.

Our mission is to enhance the lives of females by promoting and maintaining the integrity of women's lacrosse, while aiding in the development and building the character of the female athlete.  We are women, who share a passion for women's lacrosse and want to engage in mentoring female athletes and providing them with the tools to use on and off the field that will be applicable to their lives now and in the future.  STICK WITH IT!™ is not just our name, but our motto as well as our state of mind, which players can adopt now and maintain for life. 

STICK WITH IT!™ Lacrosse offers females of all ages (youth through high school) an outlet to learn, compete, and become the best female athlete they can and want to be. We are a full service organization offering camps, clinics, a club program, events, and tournaments. STICK WITH IT!™ Lacrosse is committed to providing instruction to players, who want to learn the sport, polish current skills, or upgrade their caliber of play to compete on a collegiate level, whether  Division I, II, III, or club level. Regardless of what skill level a player may be, STICK WITH IT!™ Lacrosse establishes a positive creative learning environment, while players improve while competing at a high level and implementing a permanent mental attitude of knowing they can achieve.
